🖼 Art auction in support of Alpha House

We're having an online art auction to support Alpha House!

After our 8 Street location experienced a smash and grab in January, we replaced our broken door's glass with a beautiful mural by local artist Tiffany Lynn Cuffley.

"My first thought was just empathy for the people who did this as it was likely an act of desperation," says our founder Jereme Bokitch. "It shows the growing number of people who are unhoused or struggling with addiction and mental health crises in our city and I wanted to do what we could to make a small difference."

We have partnered with our friends at PARK to create an art auction that will raise money in support of Alpha House. The auction is live online now and runs until midnight on March 31! The auction includes a range of seven pieces at various price points from original artworks, NFTS, prints, and merchandise.

Calgary Alpha House Society is a non-profit, charitable agency that provides safe and caring environments for individuals whose lives are affected by alcohol and other substance dependencies.

Alpha House was established in 1981 as a place of safety for men and women struggling with addictions, as well as mental and physical health issues. We operate a Shelter and Detox/Transitional facility, Outreach Programs, including the DOAP Team, Encampment Team, and the Needle Response Team, and Housing Programs with intensive case management support.

Huge thank you to artists Tiffany Lynn Cuffley, Michelle Hoogveld, Rachael Meckling, The WKNDRS (Claire Ouchi and Rachel Rivera), Lennard Taylor, and the team at PARK. Additional thank you to Tamar Zenith and her team at Newzones Gallery and James Wyper for their support.
